Arabian Nights: Sinbad's Adventures (アラビアンナイト シンドバットの冒険, Arabian Naito: Shindobatto no Bōken) is a 52-episode anime series directed by Fumio Kurokawa and produced by Nippon Animation which was first aired in 1975. The story is based on the children's story "Sinbad the Sailor".
The series is a re-telling of the adventures of Sinbad from The Arabian Nights. Created by Ed Naha , it was filmed in southern Ontario , Canada and in Cape Town , South Africa. The tone of the series resembled that of its contemporaries Hercules: The Legendary Journeys , Beastmaster and Xena: Warrior Princess .
