The card maintained the 64 KB of RAM of the original card and added the newer 65C02 microprocessor. This card solved the Auxiliary RAM incompatibility problem of the older card, however it did not speed up this second bank of RAM which was common on the Apple IIe.
Multiple DDR5 memory chips can be mounted on a circuit board to form memory modules. For use in personal computers and servers, DDR5 memory is usually supplied in 288-pin dual in-line memory modules, more commonly known as DIMMs. As with previous memory generations, there are multiple DIMM variants available for DDR5.
Bank switching can be considered as a way of extending the address space of processor instructions with some register. Examples: The follow-on system [3] to a processor with a 12 bit address has a 15 bit address bus, but there is no way to directly specify the high three bits on the address bus.
DDR4 memory is supplied in 288-pin dual in-line memory modules (DIMMs), similar in size to 240-pin DDR3 DIMMs. DDR4 RAM modules feature pins that are spaced more closely at 0.85 mm compared to the 1.0 mm spacing in DDR3, allowing for a higher pin density within the same standard DIMM length of 133.35 mm (5¼ inches).
Memory modules of SK Hynix. In computing, a memory module or RAM stick is a printed circuit board on which memory integrated circuits are mounted. [1] Memory modules permit easy installation and replacement in electronic systems, especially computers such as personal computers, workstations, and servers. The first memory modules were ...
As with earlier memory generations, faster DDR3 memory became available after the release of the initial versions. DDR3-2000 memory with 9-9-9-28 latency (9 ns) was available in time to coincide with the Intel Core i7 release in late 2008, [ 19 ] while later developments made DDR3-2400 widely available (with CL 9–12 cycles = 7.5–10 ns), and ...

Unlike DRAM, the bank address bits are not part of the memory address; any address can be transferred to any row data buffer. A row data buffer may be from 32 to 4096 bytes long, depending on the type of memory. Rows larger than 32 bytes ignore some of the low-order address bits in the Activate command.
