After debuting as a junior model in 2001, Sawajiri transitioned to acting in 2002 and has starred in Break Through!, Shinobi: Heart Under Blade, and 1 Litre of Tears, for all of which she received several newcomer acting awards.

Midnight Sun is the second Korean musical adaptation of Japanese movie A Song to the Sun after the one staged in 2010. [1] The musical is produced by Shin Jung-hwa and Son Hyuk-il; it's directed by Kim Ji-ho, with musics composed by Han Bo-ram and Kim Han-sol, who is also lyricist.
A music video was produced for the song, directed by Anton Corbijn. The video is featured on the Directors Label series DVD The Work of Director Anton Corbijn. On February 14, 2008, Joseph Arthur and his band The Lonely Astronauts performed "In the Sun" live on the Late Show with David Letterman.
