Michael Chaves (born November 3, 1984) is an American filmmaker and visual effects artist. He is best known for directing the horror films The Curse of La Llorona (2019), The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021), and The Nun II (2023).
Andrew Earles, in Gimme Indie Rock: 500 Essential American Underground Rock Albums 1981-1996 (2014), wrote that "Chavez's second album in a gigantic wall of all-encompassing guitar wizardry (riffs, leads, and everything else) constructed over a massive rhythm section and majestic vocals."
On "Pawn Stars," a rare piece of rock 'n roll history had the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop's employees literally drooling. The man walked into the shop and explained, "So, this is a 1941 Gibson SJ-200.
Sweeney's high school band Skunk released two albums on Twin/Tone records ("Last American Virgin" in 1989 and the posthumous "Laid", both out of print).
