Marmora is the largest community in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake in Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. It is located on the Crowe River and along Highway 7 between Havelock to the west and Madoc to the east, about the halfway point between Ottawa and Toronto.

The Municipality of Centre Hastings is a township in Eastern Ontario, Canada, in Hastings County. It was formed on January 1, 1998, through the amalgamation of Huntingdon Township with the Village of Madoc.
The Department of Highways took control of several roads though the townships of Thurlow, Sidney, Rawdon and Marmora on April 18, 1928, extending Highway 14 north to Highway 7 in the village of Marmora. [12] This brought the length of the route to 82.7 km (51.4 mi). The new portion of the highway was entirely unpaved when it was assumed. [13]
