The Development Squad currently compete in the Central League North-West Division and the academy team compete in the Youth Alliance North-West Division. Both teams play the majority of their home games at the Birmingham County FA Headquarters at Ray Hall Lane in Perry Barr, although some games are played at the senior side's Bescot Stadium home.

Daniel Johnson (born 28 February 1993) is an English professional footballer, who plays for EFL League Two club Walsall.. Johnson began his career in the youth academies at home-town club Middlesbrough and Hartlepool United but was released by both clubs without making a first-team appearance.
A product of the Walsall youth system, he signed for the club on amateur terms in June 1961 before turning professional on 13 November 1963. [1] His league debut came in September 1964 against Southend United and in his early days at the club he was employed as a Utility player before settling into the role of full back. [1]
The club was founded in 1888 as Walsall Town Swifts, an amalgamation of Walsall Town and Walsall Swifts. [ 1 ] : 9 The club moved to the Football Alliance from the Midland Association the following year, before being invited to help found the Football League Second Division in 1892.
Born in Wordsley, England, Bradley began his football career at Walsall and he progressed through the club's youth system. [1] Bradley made his debut for Walsall, starting a match and played 57 minutes before being substituted, on the final day of the 2004–05 season in the match at home to Stockport County, losing 3–0. He signed his first professional contract with Walsall in May 2016. [7] On 31 December 2016, Roberts made his Football League debut against Oxford United in a 0–0 draw.
