The Government of Odisha has selected 237 acres (960,000 m 2) of land for the construction of the permanent campus of IIM Sambalpur at Basantpur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the permanent campus on 2 January 2021. The permanent campus of IIM Sambalpur is inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on 3 February 2024. [8]

The IIM Ahmedabad Endowment Fund is India's first endowment fund set up at a management school. The fund was established at IIM Ahmedabad in June 2020 from an initial corpus of ₹100 Crore provided by 10 founding alumni.
