Cheshire High School is a comprehensive public high school serving approximately 1,538 students; it is the sole comprehensive high school of Cheshire Public Schools. Located at 525 South Main Street in Cheshire, Connecticut , Cheshire High School is 15 miles (24 km) north of New Haven and 25 miles (40 km) south of Hartford .

By 2016 the school's budget was $111,709 in deficit. In 2008-2009 it had a peak enrollment of 219. In 2014 there was concern expressed about the school's survival expressed in the community, and in 2016 enrollment was down to 139, with 22 being in special education.
High School Mathematical Modeling Contest - In 2007-08, Cheshire Academy entered a team in the Consortium for Mathematics and its Applications [11] annual math modeling contest. The CA team's 60-page model was judged to be in the top 4 out of the 270 teams competing and they were awarded the designation of National Outstanding.
It was formed in 2009 by the merger [2] of Ellesmere Port Specialist School of Performing Arts (located at Woodchurch Lane) and Cheshire Oaks High School (located at Stanney Lane). The school was sponsored by the University of Chester Academies Trust, but transferred to the Frank Field Education Trust in 2019. [3]
