Parma Calcio 1913 (Italian pronunciation:) is an Italian professional football club based in Parma, Emilia-Romagna, which competes in the Serie A, the top tier of Italian league system, following promotion from Serie B in the 2023–24 season.
The 2024–25 Serie A (known as the Serie A Enilive and Serie A Made in Italy for sponsorship reasons domestically and abroad, respectively) is the 123rd season of top-tier Italian football, the 93rd in a round-robin tournament, and the 15th since its organization under an own league committee, the Lega Serie A.
The final at Wembley Stadium saw Parma faced with Belgian opponents Royal Antwerp, who were beaten 3–1 with the Italians' goals coming from Lorenzo Minotti, Melli and Stefano Cuoghi. Parma won the European Super Cup a few months later, beating 1992 Champions League winners Milan over two legs.
The club was founded as Parma Foot Ball Club in December 1913. [2] At this time Parma's matches were less well-organised and arranged on a largely ad-hoc basis. Official records from these matches are sketchy at best. The club began playing league football in 1919 and became founder members of Serie B in 1928.
