Wacoal (Japanese: ワコール) is a manufacturer of women's lingerie and underwear, founded in 1949 in Japan by Koichi Tsukamoto. The company has divisions in North America and Europe , and manufactures the brands Wacoal, b.tempt'd, Elomi, Eveden, Fantasie, Freya, Lively, and Goddess.
In May 2006, the Japanese lingerie maker Wacoal formed a capital alliance with Peach John which allowed Wacoal to hold 49 percent of the company's shares. Then on 10 January 2008, Wacoal bought Noguchi's remaining shares , giving Wacoal full control of Peach John Co., Ltd. [ 6 ]

Koichi Tsukamoto (塚本 幸一, Tsukamoto Kōichi, September 17, 1920 – June 10, 1998) was a Japanese businessman, the founder of Wacoal, and the first President of Nippon Kaigi (1997–1998). He was from the former town of Gokashō , now part of Higashiōmi , in Shiga Prefecture .
