Columbia High School is a four-year comprehensive regional public high school in Maplewood, in Essex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.It serves students in ninth through twelfth grades, as the lone secondary school of the South Orange-Maplewood School District, which includes Maplewood and neighboring South Orange.
In 1907, the first high school opened, making it one of the few high schools in St. Louis County. In 1929, construction began on a new high school, which is still in use today. By 1935, MRHSD had a running bus system for its pupils. In 1951, the name was changed from School District of Maplewood to Maplewood-Richmond Heights School District.

The school faces Maplewood Lane from which it derived its name. It sits on land once owned by Jere Baxter (1852–1904), a prominent Nashvillian who was both a strong supporter of public education and an entrepreneur. Maplewood opened with 13 teachers and 404 students enrolled in grades 7 and 8 and continued to increase with a grade each year.
