She is an associate professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Information and Library Science (SILS) and an affiliate of the Center for Information, Technology, and Public Life (CITAP) at UNC-Chapel Hill. The Margaret McMillan College was opened in Little Horton, Bradford in 1952 and merged with Bradford College in 1975, where it continues as the McMillan School of Education. [ 5 ] An English Heritage blue plaque commemorates McMillan and her sister, Rachel, at 51 Tweedy Road in Bromley where they lodged.
