The 2024 Ohio Senate elections was held on November 5, 2024, to elect senators in 16 even-numbered districts of the Ohio Senate. Members were elected in single-member constituencies to four-year terms. In addition, there was a special election in District 33 for the remainder of that district's term ending in 2026.
The 16 even-numbered districts out of 33 seats in the Ohio Senate were up for election in 2024. [1] Fifteen of these seats are held by Republicans and one is held by Democrats. Prior to the election, Republicans hold 26 seats and Democrats hold 7 seats.
