Rajendra Arlekar (born 23 April 1954) is an Indian statesman who is serving as the 23rd Governor of Kerala. [2] He previously served was the 29th Governor of Bihar. [3] and the 21st Governor of Himachal Pradesh, being the first person serving as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh from Goa.
He took charge as Governor on 6 September 2019 from P. Sathasivam he continued in office till 24 December 2024. He was then appointed as the Governor of Bihar. [21] [22] The political controversy regarding the appointment of Vice-chancellors of backgrounds from SFI/CPIM to the universities of Kerala had put him in the spotlight. [23]
