The Colby Mules (formerly known as the White Mules prior to 2002) are the varsity and club athletic teams of Colby College, a liberal arts college located in Waterville, Maine. After an informal team the year before, the athletic department gave its blessing on the official status of the ice hockey team for this season. However, while the team was able to wear the school colors, they received precious little in terms of support from the college.
The Colby Mules women's ice hockey program represents Colby College. The team used to compete in the ECAC. Currently, the club is a member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). The Mules were one of only two non-Division I schools at the time in the 12-team Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
