r/Starfield. • 1 yr. ago. ADMIN MOD. Game Always Crashing On Akila City? Discussion. For some reason anytime I go to Akila my game instantly crashes. Never had any problems in the past or anything until today. I have tried reducing crowd density, verifying and repair game files, deleting saves and reducing my graphics. None have worked.
Same problem - found both the small kiosk and the actual shop, but neither will buy my 5 Harvested Organs or 4 Xenowarfare Tech - don't ask where I got those :) The items did not show up when i tried to sell them, so I flew to The Den in the Wolf system and sold them in the TA ... not sure if the TA in Akila is just picky ... I can't leave akila City. The game freezes if it try to load up anything different. Can't get in my ship, can't enter any building, can't fast travel anywhere. Can't play a game I fucking bought a console purely for this game. I don't know who the fuck decided to give a game meant for consoles or pc (the og) to every fucking device out there.
Just sold it,l to the museum found it early on, and came here to see if it was a mistake and was perhaps useful in other storylines. Guess not. One of the other items the museum takes is another book, "Governor's First Meeting Agenda", which you can find in The Lodge (aka Constellation's HQ) in Jameson, Alpha Centauri.
The real shame is that these cheese exploits are what make the games endearing. Without them, they're just buggy rpgs using an engine way past its prime. I guess stuff like this is low hanging fruit for some junior dev. 1. Not sure if it's just me doing it wrong but since the latest patch the Akila puddle glitch is no longer working.
Akila is getting into my nerves, because there is this one last Fauna that I need to find, I visited all Biomes and all says on the planet scan that they are 100%. Am I missing a different Biome? Savana 100%, Frozen plains (I'm not sure how it's called in english) 100%, Forest 100%.. or is the last Fauna in some cave? I tried a cave or two but ...
Akila Performance issues. I have been playing for around 15 hours on a Series S and I was very happy to find very good optimization. Overall I’ve had very few bugs or glitches and my frame rate has been overall steady. The only time I have any real issues is Akila and more specifically Akila city. I have only crashed three time in 15 hours ...
Bright side is it means you get to shoot them all over again as many times as you'd like! Option 1: Tell the colonist to be corpo slaves so they can live on the planet. Option 2: spend like 40,000 credits on grav drive for them because gready corpo fucks only care about their bottom line.... Option 3: Kill me.
It is Emerson Shepherd' shop in Akila City, on Akila, in the Cheyenne system. It's right in front of Shepherd's store. Find the kiosk near the starport, run into the city just a little bit. Look for the big, lit up sign that says Shepherd's (it is in the video, if you want to see what it looks like).

Akila was a pain to finish, Dropsalm are really rare away from the rocky border between the confierous forest and the beaches, the flying leeches in the arctic are few and far between and water creatures in general are a pain to survey. My longest time spent surveying a single world by far.
