Also, I suppose there is a possibility that adding a credit card to My Norton Account might have been required had I been able to activate the Product Key without help from phone Support. I guess I might find out a year from now (assuming I don't move to a different security app), as it will be 360-to-360, i.e.

I have a subscription that expired so I bought a new Product key. I followed the directions to install the new Product Key but it’s telling me that I need to renew my card subscription to reactivate the old subscription instead of activating the new product key. Has anyone experienced this and know how do I activate the new product key?
On the expiry of Norton 360 Deluxe installed on my Windows 11 laptop, I entered the product key for a license purchased from a (UK) retailer. This is showing on my account (correctly) with an expiry date of 18 September 2025.

LifeLock by Norton Individual/Family with Norton 360 is (in my mind) a subscription product/plan. Since, your scenario involves different product/plan and you don't want to lose days and you presumably want to benefit from LifeLock by Norton Family Plan subscription entitlements and you may want your Norton account deleted/ended.
You cannot enter a product key into a mobile Norton 360 product. Just signing into your Norton Account will pick up the active subscription and activate your product. As I see no way to sign out of your Account from within the 360 product, g o into Android Settings - Apps. Scroll to the 360 app and clear the app cache and app Data.
