The Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT; Turkish: Türkiye Radyo ve Televizyon Kurumu) is the national public broadcaster of Turkey, founded in 1964.TRT was for many years the only television and radio broadcaster in Turkey.

Radio and Television Supreme Council (Turkish: Radyo ve Televizyon Üst Kurulu), [1] also known in short as RTÜK, is the Turkish state agency for monitoring, regulating, and sanctioning radio and television broadcasts. RTÜK was founded in 1994 and is composed of nine members elected by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. [2]
Türkiye Radyo ve Televizyon Kurumu (TRT) held the national final on 21 February 1987 at its studios in Ankara, hosted by television presenter and Turkish commentator Bülend Özveren. Ten songs competed and the winner was determined by a sixteen-member jury.
