Latham is a hamlet and census-designated place [1] in Albany County, New York, United States. It is located along U.S. Route 9 in the town of Colonie, a dense suburb north of Albany. In addition, Interstate 87 and U.S. Route 7 also run through the town itself. As of the 2020 census, the population was 13,680. [2]
Latham is located in southeastern Logan County. Illinois Route 121 passes around the north and east sides of the village, leading northwest 7 miles (11 km) to Mount Pulaski and 18 miles (29 km) to Lincoln, the county seat, while to the southeast it leads 6 miles (10 km) to Warrensburg and 15 miles (24 km) to Decatur.

Hoffman's Playland was an amusement park located in Latham, New York on Route 9. The park featured 18 rides along with food stands, a Subway restaurant, a party area, an arcade, and an open-year-round gift shop. The park operated from 1952 until its closing on September 14, 2014.
