The Corona del Sol men's basketball team has been one of the most successful basketball programs in Arizona high school history. They have been in 15 state championship games, winning 8 state championships with their most recent championship in 2015. Sinton Independent School District is a public school district based in Sinton, Texas ( USA ). Sinton is located in San Patricio county. Less than 30 miles (48 km) north of Corpus Christi, it is situated close to the Gulf of Mexico and the amenities of an urban area. Many churches, representing various denominations, thrive in Sinton.
The school was built to alleviate the overcrowded Roosevelt High School. The site was designated in 2003, broke ground in 2006, and the campus opened in September 2009. It is built on 6.22 acres (2.52 ha). The building occupies 109,378 square feet (10,161.5 m 2) and contains 38 classrooms.
