[ 1 ] The lake is located to the south of Lassen Peak and west of Bumpass Mountain in the Shasta Cascades region of Northern California .
Helen Lake is at the head of the Belly River and is situated below Ahern Peak to the west and Ipasha Peak to the northwest. [2] Numerous small streams feed the lake in addition to melt waters from the Ahern Glacier which descend 1,680 feet (510 m) over Ahern Glacier Falls in one sheer drop to a talus slope below en route to the lake. [1] Beginning in 2019, Garth Brooks had a three-year contract to perform an annual concert at the Glen Helen Amphitheater as part of his Stadium Tour.
