The Mint 400 is an annual American desert off-road race which takes place near Las Vegas, Nevada.It was resumed in 2008 after a 20-year hiatus. The race was for both motorcycles, until 1977, and four-wheel vehicles (buggies, cars and trucks) sponsored by Del Webb's Mint Hotel and Casino. [1]
State Route 613 (SR 613), better known as Summerlin Parkway, is a freeway in the western portion of the city of Las Vegas, Nevada, connecting Clark County Route 215 (CC 215) to Interstate 11 (I-11)/U.S. Route 95 (US 95) and serving the master planned community of Summerlin.
The southern part of the route sees heavy traffic, mostly due to Pahrump's continued growth as a Las Vegas bedroom community. The route is known as Blue Diamond Road within the Las Vegas area, with the remainder referred to as the Pahrump Valley Highway. The route was originally part of State Route 16 prior to 1978.
Gass Peak is accessible by the public and the most common access is via Corn Creek Road off U.S. Route 95, northwest of Las Vegas, then to the Mormon Well Road and Gass Peak Road dirt roads. [5] Campsites and parking corrals are located along the roads and at trailheads. [6] Hiking trails are not maintained. [7]
