Lieutenant General Carl-Johan Edström (born 21 May 1967) is a Swedish Air Force officer. He currently serves as Chief of the Defence Staff since 1 October 2024. Prior to that Edström served as Chief of Joint Operations from 2023 to 2024, and Chief of Air Force from 2019 to 2022.
On 1 October 2019 a new rank system was introduced in the Swedish Armed Forces. The system is unique and does not follow the conventional system used by most of the World's armed forces. The ranks are grouped as officers (OF1 - OF9), specialist officers (OR6 - OR9), and as section commanders, soldiers and sailors (GSS in Swedish) (OR1 - OR5).

Vice Admiral Ewa Ann-Sofi Skoog Haslum née Skoog (born 26 March 1968) is a senior Swedish Navy officer. She currently serves as the Chief of Joint Operations since 15 November 2024.
