Bhrigu (Sanskrit: भृगु, IAST: Bhṛgu) is a rishi of Adi-rishi tradition. He is one of the seven great sages, the Saptarshis, and one of the many Prajapatis (the facilitators of creation) created by Brahma. A continuous stream of water flows out of the Nandi’s mouth and falls onto the Shivaling through an opening in the floor.
