Americus Hotel is a historic hotel in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Built between 1926 and 1927, it is a 13-story yellow brick building located 541 West Hamilton Street in Center City Allentown . [ 2 ]

The northeast corner of Center Square (Seventh and Hamilton Streets) in Allentown was the site of several inns and hotels since its founding in 1762.
Situated directly across Hamilton Street, the proximity of the hotel and stations provided travelers with convenient places to eat and stay in Allentown. [1] With the end of passenger rail service in the 1960s, the hotel was adapted to other uses. It was subsequently added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. [1]
Opening in November 1881, the Adelaide Silk Mill was built by businessmen from Allentown for the Phoenix Manufacturing Co., a silk maker from Paterson, New Jersey looking to relocate. The mill is a U-shaped building at 333 W. Court St. off of Jordan Creek in the Lehigh Canal. The mill was redeveloped after operations ended in 1964.
Built by attorney Samuel A. Butz, this dark stone Victorian home was once the center of Allentown's most fashionable residential district.
