Tokyo Godfathers (Japanese: 東京ゴッドファーザーズ, Hepburn: Tōkyō Goddofāzāzu) is a 2003 Japanese animated Christmas tragicomedy adventure film written and directed by Satoshi Kon. The film stars live-action actors such as Toru Emori , Yoshiaki Umegaki, and Aya Okamoto as the lead voice actors.
In 2003, Kon's third work, Tokyo Godfathers, was announced. The distribution company for the North American release was Sony Pictures-affiliated Destination Films. The film centers on a trio of homeless persons in Tokyo who discover a baby on Christmas Eve and set out to search for her parents.
