English: Maxwell Hall at Syracuse University was dedicated on November 12, 1937 in ceremonies that included a speech by former President Herbert Hoover. This historic structure was posthumously named in honor of Board of Trustee member George Holmes Maxwell (class of 1888), who had created a fund to establish a “School of American Citizenship”.
