The University of Kentucky College of Nursing is a nursing school in the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, KY. The college is ranked among the top nursing programs nationwide. It is located at 751 Rose Street Lexington, KY. There are 1,589 students enrolled in the College of Nursing with many faculty/staff members.
Frontier Nursing University was founded in 1939 as the Frontier Graduate School of Midwifery. The Frontier Graduate School of Midwifery graduated its first class in 1940. In 1970, the school was renamed the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing with the opening of the nation's first family nurse practitioner education program. In 1989 ...
National League for Nursing accreditation followed in March 2005. In 2011, the school changed its name to Frontier Nursing University to emphasize its capacity to offer graduate degrees in nursing.
