The Empty Pockets (formerly known as Josh & The Empty Pockets) is an American rock and roll band from Chicago, Illinois.Josh & The Empty Pockets released a Buddy Holly Tribute album in 2007 and Under the Bed in 2008, with Erika Brett featured on two of the songs.
Under the Bed is the 2008 debut album by Josh and the Empty Pockets. [1] In an interview with Phil Ponce on Chicago Tonight, Josh explains that the debut album is about growing up and that the title Under the Bed comes from the lyrics “where have the monsters under my bed gone” on one of the album's songs. [2]
As an eight-man band the Pockets got signed in 1977 to Columbia Records. The group then started recording their first album which was being produced by White. [5] Entitled Come Go with Us, the Pockets' debut LP was issued in October 1977 by Columbia. [6] Come Go with Us reached No. 17 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart. [7]
In April 2017, Stewart was given a Lifetime Achievement award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, presented by Tony Blackburn, with whom he had once played in a band in Dorset. [17] In October 2022 he toured in the UK supported by the Empty Pockets (who opened with their own set before backing Stewart). [citation needed]
Parkinson was formerly a member of the comedy duo the Empty Pockets, along with Matthew Quartermaine, who featured regularly on the television comedy shows The Big Gig [1] [2] and Full Frontal. [3] Parkinson was also a champion winner of television game show Sale of the Century in the 1990s. [4]
Terry McBride & the Ride is the fourth studio album recorded by American country music band McBride & the Ride.It was released via MCA Records in 1994.
