Syleena Johnson (née Thompson; born September 2, 1976) is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter and actress. She is best known for her guest appearance on Kanye West's 2004 single "All Falls Down," which peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100.
West first collaborated with Syleena Johnson in 2004 on his single "All Falls Down", where she contributed vocals on the chorus, interpolating lyrics from Lauryn Hill's "Mystery of Iniquity". [1] West continued to work with Johnson during the early years of his career, including producing her 2005 track "Bull's-Eye (Suddenly)". [1]
West unveiled the track during a listening session for the album at Manhattan's New World Stages on August 28, 2007. [27] On September 11, 2007, "Flashing Lights" was included as the ninth track on West's third studio album Graduation.
