The Nikon D3S is a 12.1-megapixel professional-grade full frame digital single-lens reflex camera announced by Nikon Corporation on 14 October 2009. [2] The D3S is the fourth camera in Nikon's line to feature a full-frame sensor, following the D3, D700 and D3X. It is also Nikon's first full-frame camera to feature HD (720p/30) video recording.
When Nikon announced the D3, it was priced at US$4999, but present prices are much lower. [10] In July 2008 the D3x's larger buffer memory was offered as an upgrade to D3 owners, doubling its continuous shooting capacity. This modification represents approximately 10% of the original cost of the camera.
The dynamic range of the Nikon D3200 (Expeed 3 named Expeed 2 type, 14 bits reduced to 12 bits) exceeds even full-frame DSLRs like Nikon D3S (Expeed 2 named Expeed (1) type, 14 bits) or Canon 5D MK3 (DIGIC 5+, 14 bits) at low film speeds (ISO 100 and ISO 200) due to reduced effective resolution of the analog-to-digital converters.
The D850 is also the first DSLR camera to achieve 100 points on the DxOMark sensor review. [6] The Verge and Fstoppers have compared the Nikon D850 favourably to the Canon 5D Mark IV. [13] [14] A wildlife photography needs (autofocus, noise, speed) review favours the D850 compared to other Nikons with special regard to the new viewfinder. [15]
The Nikon D3000 is a 10.2-megapixel DX format DSLR Nikon F-mount camera announced by Nikon on 30 July 2009. It replaces the D40 as Nikon's entry level DSLR. It features a 3.0-inch 230,000-dot resolution LCD monitor, CCD sensor with ISO 100–1600 (3200 with Boost) and 3D tracking Multi-CAM1000 11-point AF system which makes it quite similar to the Nikon D200 in these main parts.
