Agelenopsis actuosa (actuosa = "active, agile") is a species of grass spider found in southwest Canada and the northwest United States. [1]The species are rather similar to those of the genus Agelena, instead of Agelenopsis, mainly because of their paler coloring and the meeting of the two lines on the cephalothorax (near the abdomen) [citation needed], which are usually parallel in other species.
These spiders often attach linear silk decorations, referred to as stabilimenta, above or below the web's hub (where the spider waits for their prey). These decorations can come in many forms, including zig-zag bands, linear, cross shapes, disk shapes, or spiral shapes.
Bagheera prosper is a species of jumping spiders of the family Salticidae [1] found in the U.S. and Mexico. [2] The species was described by Peckham & Peckham in 1901. [3] The male has long, parallel chelicerae and large spiral embolus on the prolateral side of the palpal bulb, while the female has regular sized chelicerae and the epigynal openings in spiral atria.
