Makima (Japanese: マキマ, Hepburn: Makima) is a fictional character from Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga series Chainsaw Man. She is the main antagonist of Part 1, the "Public Safety Saga", and is the caretaker of main character Denji , promising him food and shelter if he comes under her care and threatening him with death otherwise.
After Makima kills her to break Denji's spirit, she is revived as the Blood Devil from Denji's blood at Pochita's request to save him, but Makima fatally wounds her. Before dying, Power makes a contract with Denji - in exchange for her blood, he must find the reborn Blood Devil and turn her back into Power so they can be friends again.
