Arc's mission is to nurture and promote composition and appreciation of poetry in Canada and abroad, with particular but not exclusive emphasis on poetry written by Canadians. In addition to publishing and distributing the work of poets, Arc Poetry Magazine organizes and administers awards, contests, public readings and other events.

Arc Publications, also known as Arc, is an independent publishing house in the UK, publishing contemporary poetry from new and established writers from the UK and abroad, specialising in the work of international poets writing in English and the work of overseas poets in translation. Arc publishes up to 16 new books of poetry every year.
Her book Hastings-Sunrise was a finalist for the 2015 City of Vancouver Book Award. [7] She is also the winner of an Arc Poetry Magazine Poem of the Year Award, [8] a finalist for The Malahat Review Long Poem Prize, [9] and was a finalist for the 2006 Bronwen Wallace Memorial Award. She lives on Prince Edward Island.
