Rough River Dam State Resort Park is a Kentucky state park encompassing 637 acres (258 ha) [1] on Rough River Lake in Grayson county. Rough River Dam of 1959, stretching 1,590 feet (480 m) across and 135 feet (41 m) high, creates Rough River Lake, a recreational lake of approximately 5,100 acres (2,100 ha).
Public transport within the resort is provided by Disney Transport buses. From late 1973 [3] to early 1980, [4] [5] the Fort Wilderness Railroad, a 3.5-mile (5.6 km), 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) narrow-gauge heritage railroad, provided transportation to the resort's various campsites, as well as to the nearby River Country water park.

The tribe had the Golden Moon constructed directly across the road in 2002. Golden Moon features a curving hotel structure that rises to a globe-shaped top. The Mississippi Choctaw are the only federally recognized tribe in the state and thus the only tribe authorized to operate a gaming facility on its reservation lands.
