Toyotarou (Japanese: とよたろう, Hepburn: Toyotarō, born May 17, 1978) [1] is a Japanese manga artist.He has drawn several Dragon Ball-related manga and is best known for illustrating Dragon Ball Super (2015–present), which was written by series creator Akira Toriyama until his death in March 2024.

Akira Toriyama (Japanese: 鳥山明, Hepburn: Toriyama Akira, April 5, 1955 – March 1, 2024) was a Japanese manga artist and character designer.He came to be regarded as one of the most important authors in the history of manga, authoring highly influential and popular series, particularly Dragon Ball.
He began Dragon Ball Super with illustrator Toyotarou in 2015, and continued to work on the manga until his death in 2024. Toriyama also created numerous character designs for various video games such as the Dragon Quest series (1986–2024), Chrono Trigger (1995), Blue Dragon (2006), and some Dragon Ball video games .
The series begins with a retelling of the events of the last two Dragon Ball Z films, Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F', which themselves take place during the ten-year timeskip after the events of the "Majin Buu" Saga. The anime was followed by the films Dragon Ball Super: Broly (2018) and Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero (2022). [2]
