Columbus City Schools, formerly known as Columbus Public Schools, is the official school district for the city of Columbus, Ohio, and serves most of the city (portions of the city are served by suburban school districts). The district has 46,686 students enrolled, making it the largest school district in the state of Ohio as of June 2021.
Schools from 34 of the 50 states and the District of Columbia are represented. All schools do not provide athletic scholarships to students. Conference affiliations listed in this table are primary affiliations as of the current 2024–25 school year.
The school is a magnet school for college-bound students in Columbus, with both AP and IB programs. While most Columbus City schools are assigned a neighborhood to whose residents they guarantee admission, places at CAHS are available exclusively through the district's school lottery, which admits 250 freshmen to the school each year.
High School and Middle School Campuses. The High School and Middle School campuses are located 1.5 miles apart in north Columbus. Tree of Life opened its separate middle school campus in 2024 on the property formerly owned by Christian Assembly Church. Up until that time, the middle school and high school shared the same building.
