    A cursory search of google patents shows 2 Automatic Pet Litter Box patents were issued in 1965. I'm not sure if there were any before that. I changed "cat box" to "litter box" for continuity with the article and because other pets may also use litter boxes. I added subheading for common types of litter boxes and added description for each type.
