From March 2009, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) deployed the destroyers JS Sazanami and JS Samidare. Djibouti has a population of around 780,000 inhabitants, [ 2 ] [ 3 ] which counts for 73% of the country's population.
