Shancai is a girl from a family that barely makes ends meet. Due to her strong sense of fairness and the nature of her personality, she immediately clashes with F4, an elite clique composed of the four most popular boys in the institution, especially its spoiled, rich and arrogant leader - Daoming Si ( Dylan Wang ).
In 2018, she portrayed the female lead Dong Shancai in the 2018 television series Meteor Garden, based on the Japanese shōjo manga series Boys Over Flowers (花より男子, Hana Yori Dango) written by Yoko Kamio. It was a remake of the 2001 Taiwanese adaptation, also called Meteor Garden.
A classmate of Shancai. She begins to bully Shancai once the F4 becomes friendly with Shancai. It follows the blossoming love story of Shancai and Daoming Si . The story takes the group to Barcelona where Daoming Si has a car accident and suffers memory loss. He then meets another girl, Ye Sha (Michelle Saram), the driver of the other car. Shancai on the other hand tries her best to help Daoming Si regain his memory.
The snake begged Shancai to release her, and after Shancai did so, she revealed her true form as a giant serpent and wanted to eat him. When Shancai protested at the snake's behaviour, she argued that ēn (恩, an act of kindness) should be repaid with a feud, as is the way of nature. However, the snake agreed to bring the case before three judges.
