The Flyers were led by third-year head coach Anthony Grant and played their home games at the University of Dayton Arena as members of the Atlantic 10 Conference .

They lost in the quarterfinals of the A-10 tournament to Duquesne.They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament as No. 7 seed in the West Region where they defeated Nevada in the first round before losing to Arizona in the second round.
