"Sara Smile" is a song written and recorded by the American musical duo Hall & Oates. It was released as the third single from their album Daryl Hall & John Oates . The song was the group's first top 40 and first top ten hit in the US, reaching number four on the Billboard Hot 100 .

Sara Smile is the third studio album by American country music singer Jimmy Wayne. It was released on November 23, 2009, by Valory Music Group, an imprint of Big Machine Records. The album's title track is a cover of Hall & Oates' 1976 single, as well as the first single from it. Dann Huff, Mark Bright and Nathan Chapman produced the album.
The album's cover shows an androgynous-looking Hall and Oates, both wearing makeup, against a silver background. It was designed by Pierre LaRoche, a makeup artist who was responsible for much of the androgynous look of glam rock artists at the time, including creating the appearance of the Ziggy Stardust persona for David Bowie.

Janna Allen (May 12, 1957 – August 25, 1993) was an American songwriter.She is best known as a co-writer of some of the biggest hits recorded by Hall & Oates, in collaboration variously with Daryl Hall, John Oates and her sister Sara Allen, who was Hall's longtime girlfriend and the person for whom the duo's hit song "Sara Smile" was written.
The song was released as a single in 1973 and peaked at No. 60 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Nearly three years later in 1976, after Hall & Oates had moved to RCA Records and had scored the hit "Sara Smile", Atlantic Records re-released the original single under a different number (Atlantic 3332).
In 2008, she came up with an album of new material. The first single was titled "Smile", and was released on 22 September 2008. It contained a sample of Hall & Oates' "Sara Smile". The single included remixes by Bimbo Jones and Vito Benito. The album, Time To Think, was released on 23 March 2009. Her next single from the album was "Undefined".
