Yan Gomes (/ ˈ j ɑː n ˈ ɡ oʊ m z /; Portuguese: [ˈjɐ̃ ˈɡomis]; born July 19, 1987) is a Brazilian-American professional baseball catcher who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Toronto Blue Jays, Cleveland Indians, Washington Nationals, Oakland Athletics, and Chicago Cubs.
