The Iowa Wild are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL) based in Des Moines, Iowa.Beginning play for the 2013–14 season as the AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL), the team's home games are held at Wells Fargo Arena.

Mario Ferraro (born September 17, 1998) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman and alternate captain for the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL). After one season with the Des Moines Buccaneers of the junior United States Hockey League he joined the University of Massachusetts Amherst, spending two seasons there before signing with the Sharks.
