Ohlone College (Ohlone or OC; / oʊ ˈ l oʊ n i /) is a public community college with its main campus in Fremont, California and a second campus in Newark. It is part of the California Community College System. The Ohlone Community College District serves the cities of Fremont and Newark, as well as parts of Union City.
The California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A; formerly CCCAA) is a sports association of community colleges in the U.S. state of California. It oversees 108 athletic programs throughout the state. The organization was formed in 1929 as the California Junior College Federation to unify programs in Northern and Southern California. [1]

The college's athletic teams are nicknamed the Wildcats. The teams were previously known as the Oilers. The Wildcats nickname was adopted in 2008. Prior to KSCU, Santa Clara University's first radio station was KVSC, broadcasting as a carrier current low-power station on 880 kHz and founded in 1948 as a project by Reverend Eugene M. Bacigalupi S.J., then head of the university physics department. [2]
