Hinsdale Central High School, or HCHS (locally referred to as simply "Central") is a public four-year high school located at the corner of W. 55th St. and S. Grant St. in Hinsdale, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago, Illinois.
The biggest change in the history of WSC occurred in the spring of 1986 with a major re-alignment. This took place between the conference and the Des Plaines Valley League with a vote of the Superintendents from the Inter-Suburban Association. This action combined the two leagues under one umbrella conference.

Hinsdale Central School's mascot is the Bobcat. The women's teams, like many other schools, implements 'Lady' into their name and thus are known as the Lady Bobcats. The school's football team program was cancelled prior to the 1999 season due to a loss in numbers.
