Roberto "Kitoy" Cruz [3] (born August 18, 1972) is a Filipino taekwondo practitioner. He is the most bemedalled taekwondo player in international competition for the Philippines. [ 3 ] He competed in the 1990s and was at the tail-end of a long illustrious career when he competed in the 2000 Sydney Olympics . [ 4 ]
He has won three medals (two silvers one bronze) at the senior stage of the Asian Taekwondo Championships and competed in the World Taekwondo Championships in 2007 and 2009. He ended his competitive career when he quit as a member of the Philippine men's taekwondo team in November 2015 due to his leg injury. [5] [6]

[1] [2] The PTA connects various taekwondo associations and acts as the governing body for representation to international taekwondo competition and conducts taekwondo belt promotion exams and instructor seminars.
Del Rosario became a member of the Philippine national taekwondo team from 1982 until 1989, serving as the team's captain in his last four years on the team. [6] He was ranked first in the Philippines in the Lightweight Division while he was on the team, and was an eight-time National Lightweight champion. [6]
