New York State Route 454 (NY 454), also known as the Suffolk County Veterans Memorial Highway or simply Vets Highway, is a 13.67-mile (22.00 km) east–west state highway in western and central Suffolk County on Long Island in New York. It spans from NY 25 (Jericho Turnpike) in Commack to NY 27 (Sunrise Highway) in Holbrook.
Until 1968, it was also part of Veterans Memorial Highway from Jericho Turnpike in Commack to Nesconset Highway in Hauppauge. The road shares a short concurrency with NY 111 in Hauppauge. In May 2000, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill opened an office in Hauppauge. The 2,500-square-foot (230 m 2) office is located on the second floor of the 1300 Veterans Memorial Highway building. Carl Galioto, the head of the company's technical division, stated that it opened the office because it had difficulty hiring New York City-area recruits.
On June 9, 1965, the extension of the Northern State to Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppauge opened to traffic, with the parkway's new eastern terminus being just northwest of the then-new Suffolk County government and police headquarters.
