Our king mattress is the short version, 72 x 75 rather than the standard 72 x 80. So that's one reason we're looking at specific RV mattresses rather than others through a regular mattress store. Even though it has inner springs, the Wilderness RV mattress does come compressed in a box which I found intriguing.
If you're thinking about buying a Wilderness RV Mattress for your RV bed.....DON'T! We purchased ours and immediately had issues with it. The middle of the mattress was sunk in so badly it felt like our feet were elevated. I thought it was just that the bed hadn't completely come to shape after being compressed for shipping.....boy was I wrong!!!
Member. Nov 13, 2019. #1. Bought 2011 greystone this year. Very pleased as I love the 4 slides. This is my fourth 5th wheel and my last as I'm 75 now. My question is....the rv has the factory sofa sleeper but the air mattress was no in the unit. My previous Montana had the air mattress and it was the most comfortable air bed I had ever slept on.
Member. Mar 10, 2013. #1. We have a 2008 Bighorn 3670RL and have discovered a small hole in the sofa air mattress. Do I have to get a replacement air mattress from a RV dealer site or can I purchase one from a store like Bed Bath and Beyond? Just by guessing I think it is a full size mattress - I will check before buying! Thanks, Chris.

We just purchased a 2023 Cyclone 5th wheeler and the king bed seems too short. Does anyone know what size the mattress is supposed to be and the wood should not be exposed correct? The mattress size that in there now is 68x72

You must lift up the mattress and a wooden lid to access storage area under the front queen bed. The problem is, the lid/ mattress is HEAVY!
Mar 22, 2021. #1. We are new to RV life and just purchased a 2021 Bighorn Traveler. We sold our home and plan to go on the road soon. Last year we found the perfect mattress for both of us--it's the Purple Hybrid 3. It's a queen, and our RV came with a very very firm king. We took that mattress out and cut the board to make it fit a queen since ...
Sep 1, 2014. #4. We were lucky to be able to order our trailer rather than buy one of the lot. We ordered a queen size bed to give a little more room in the bedroom. The mattress in our trade in was less than a year old and we had paid over to CDN$600.00. We had them swapped when taking delivery.
I'd just suggest going to a mattress store and lying on a bed for a good 10 minutes or so to see how it feels. Then ask if they have one in an RV size like I'm listing below. Which are normally 5" shorter than their normal counterparts. [h=2]RV Mattress Sizes[/h] 34" x 74" RV Twin 38" x 74" Residential Twin 49" x 74" RV Full 53" x 74 ...
