The Doctor needs the help of the Time Lords to put things right, but risks capture for his interference across space-time and the theft of his TARDIS. The Time Lords return the soldiers to Earth, dematerialise the War Lord, erase Zoe and Jamie's memories from the points in time when they first entered the TARDIS and then return them there.
